ABOUT THE ALBUM
This is my 10th album release, but the first with Norwegian lyrics only. The music genre ranges from hymns and folk tunes to pop ballads. All the songs were written between 2022 and 2026, several of them based on very personal and heartfelt experiences and reflections. It has been both an exiting, exhausting and deliberating journey. This album is very different from everything I have ever done before, and may come as quite a surprise to many previous listeners who are familiar with my more synthesizer based and/or experimental pop, rock and technopop.

The lyrics may very well stand on their own as poems. My deeply missed mother, who was a very skilled poetry reader and performed poems publicly at various events, read several of them with emotion to me on the phone and face to face during the last year of her life. She particularly liked "En liten bølge" ("A small wave"), "God morgen" ("Good morning") and "Om eg kan symja i ditt hav" ("If I can swim in your sea"). Those songs are also published in my extensive songbook "200 sanger" from 2024, but were not recorded until 2025-2026. I wrote "De herligste buketter" ("The most wonderful bouquets") when she passed away.

MY LEGACY
The mood and song lyrics on this album reflect important aspects of who I am – something I hope all listeners, including my family, acquaintances and future descendants, will listen to and remember me by when I'm gone. The album is both spiritual, reflective and personal. It's a major part of my legacy, a collection of songs to leave behind that greatly adds to what defines me as a human being.
